Current WIP: Middle Grade Fantasy Novel
The One Who Came Before
Tagline: “A group of children must learn parkour to save their fantasy island.”

Current Word Count: 26,400
I started thinking about this project during Storymaker’s Conference in 2024, and spent all summer daydreaming about the story, the world, and the characters. I am writing it as a “gift” to my seven-year-old daughter and nine-year-old son. My favorite things so far: the world (the island floats on the back of a turtle), the characters (I love the family I’m writing dearly–and they are dearly flawed), and the themes I have chosen.

Completed: Aberrant
Aberrant is a YA Fantasy manuscript that I am currently querying to agents. It’s about a young woman who craves social acceptance–and goes about it all the wrong ways.
WIP: When the Fire Came Back
A lyrical non-fiction picture book about the importance of prescribed fires. I will be querying this after I’ve exhausted my list of agents for Aberrant.
First Draft Finished: The Dendroid Maker
An epic fantasy manuscript that tells the story of a young woman who thinks her mother abandoned her–and is now trying to reclaim her heritage as a “Dendroid Maker”. The first draft is finished. More to come.
